We know how important it is to you to keep your pet with you at home, but some diseases or illnesses are too serious to be managed at home. On some occasions, we may recommend that your pet be admitted to the hospital for treatment. Some common indications for hospitalization include:

  • Severe vomiting or diarrhea
  • Unwillingness to eat
  • Extreme lethargy or weakness
  • Serious dehydration

We may also recommend hospitalization while advanced diagnostics are being performed to determine what may be wrong with your pet.

While hospitalized, your pet is closely monitored by our veterinarians and trained veterinary technicians. The hospital wards are completely separate from the regular kennel, and are under the direct care of our medical staff. While hospitalized, we can provide the following care for your pet:

  • Intravenous fluid therapy
  • Nutritional support
  • Medication administration (oral and by injection)
  • Ongoing diagnostics as necessary
  • Careful monitoring of symptoms and continual reassessment of progress
